Fourth-Place Finish for Veillon and Brandys at 2026 ISU Junior World Figure Skating Championships
TALLINN, ESTONIA (March 7, 2026) — London, Ontario’s Layla Veillon and Alexander Brandys pulled off a fourth-place finish at this year’s ISU Junior World Figure Skating Championships in Tallinn, Estonia on Saturday.
Veillon and Brandys came into the free skate in fourth place after a strong showing in the rhythm dance on Friday. They managed to maintain their standing, scoring 96.77 in the free dance and earning 160.58 total points.
“It felt great,” said Brandys after their performance. “It felt like we went for it and I felt like there was a lot of effort and growth in it. It felt pretty strong today.”
With this result, the duo is headed home with a great sense of pride for the work that they put in leading up to and throughout this competition.
“It felt like exactly what we’ve been training for, which we’re really proud of,” added Veillon. “We really wanted to push ourselves and I think we accomplished just that and really stayed present in the moment and together, and knew whatever happened we were just going to be proud of what we put out.”
